The Port Office Hotel Trackside Melbourne Cup Marquee has been functioning since the year 1998, and has become synonymous with style, sophistication and excellence in service over the past 10 years. The year of 2008 will be its 10th year in operation, and will be no different from the past, and promises to be bigger and better than ever. Having grown from a mere 300 covers in 1998 to over 1000 guests in 2006, the Port Office Hotel Marquee has become one of the largest trackside events in Brisbane.

 

This year, the Marquee will provide a truly unique experience celebrating the largest day in Australia's racing calendar. Large plasma screens will provide punters with live coverage throughout the day including surround sound for the big race. Live Entertainment will be on offer accompanying one of the finest and freshest hot and cold Seafood Buffet Luncheons.

 

All seating is allocated, with professional staff on hand to personally service tables from the moment of arrival to the end of the day, when buses transfer guests back to the official after party at the Port Office Hotel. Tables are adorned with beverages chilled on ice in their centre, ensuring an endless supply of ice cold beverages right at your fingertips.

 

Tickets sold out months in advance in 2006 and was almost fully booked in 2007 when we had to cancel the Marquee due to the Equine Influenza outbreak at Eagle Farm, so now is the time to book your tickets.
