It was quite incredible to share our wedding with so many friends and family members. The Port Office Hotel was the perfect venue where the organisation seemed seamless.The food was incredible and the canapes were amazing. They prepared the guests for the long day ahead. The entire Port Office staff were so accommodating to my every wish. My husband and I were able to choose the food, the alcohol, the theming, the layout of the restaurant and even the music. The reception started with pre-drinks in the Marble Bar, themed with chandeliers, bud lighting and the most amazing flower creations by Phoebe Stephens,while Leah Rush played wonderful music. Canapes consisted of peking duck & cucumber rice paper rolls, scallops with cucumber & watercress salad, 3 flavour oysters, mini beef wellingtons with hollandaise sauce, cocktail chicken sandwiches and red capsicum bruschetta with capers, garlic & parsley.
Guests then moved into the Fix Restaurant where 210 guests were seated for a long leisurely lunch.The entree consisted of tasting plates with a mix of salt & pepper calamari, confit duck salad, Thai prawns and haloumi and rocket. For the main meal, guests were served either fresh pan seared reef fish in a citrus butter sauce or herb & garlic crusted racks of lamb. Individual miniature desserts consisted of a light chocolate cake and ricotta and fruit cake served with vanilla bean ice cream and fresh strawberries. The party then moved back into the Marble Bar for post reception drinks and to dance the night away to their own private DJ."Nicola, Johnny and I wanted to say thank you for all your hard work.
